FONASEM 2026: Local content, the engine of the Guinean mining economy
On Friday 13 November, the National Champions Stage hosts FONASEM, the National Subcontracting Forum in the Mining Sector (Forum National de la Sous-Traitance dans le Secteur Minier). FONASEM is organised by the Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange (BSTP) in partnership with the Centre for Mining Promotion and Development (CPDM). It operates under the supervision of Guinea’s Ministry of Mines and Geology, with the support of the World Bank’s Mine Project.
Its purpose is to connect Guinean companies with the major contractors of the mining sector and related industries: mining, energy, infrastructure, hospitality and agriculture. The morning on the National Champions Stage brings together ministerial keynotes, panels, case studies and company testimonials on local content. In the afternoon, the forum continues with pre-scheduled B2B and B2G meetings in a dedicated area of the Radisson Blu.
