Wholly owned by the Republic of Guinea, NMC operates the Tinguilinta mine, runs the railway corridor to Kamsar, and exports its bauxite to international markets.
NMC is the first Guinean mining company to operate a complete value chain, from extraction to export.
Within twelve months, the company brought the port, railway and mine back into operation, resumed exports and surpassed the milestone of five million tonnes of bauxite extracted. This restart ranks among the fastest observed in the mining industry for an operation of this scale.
